Structural profiles (I-beam, H-beam, T-beam, Z-beam, L-beam)

Steel and aluminiumI-beam, H-beam, T-beam, Z-beam, and L-beam are used very frequently in building construction, for a wide range of applications. For a lighter, stronger and/or stiffer construction, it is certainly worth considering using carbon or glass fibre as structural profiles.

In aggressive environments too, composite profiles can be an advantage, as they do not corrode and are resistant to very aggressive chemical influences and high temperatures.

Finally, the high fatigue resistance and low coefficient of expansion of composites make them an excellent and sustainable alternative to steel and aluminium.
