Carbon and glass-fibre profiles in guitar necks
In the music industry, too, carbon and glass-fibre profiles find their way more and more often. For example, carbon rods are used in the guitar-making industry to reinforce the necks of electric guitars in particular. Due to the excellent mechanical properties of the carbon, the tensile force of the steel strings can be absorbed well and the forces on the wood are distributed in a better way. The carbon rods are often used together with truss rods.
