Umbrella battens

Umbrellas in the upper segment are currently often being made with glass-fibre or carbon battens. By replacing the usual aluminium or plastic battens by glass fibre or carbon, the life of the umbrella is extended. Carbon or glass-fibre battens have excellent mechanical properties and do not corrode, making them extremely resistant against weather influences.
